NSW Food Regulation 2015

The NSW Food Regulation commenced on 30 October 2015. This replaces the NSW Food Regulation 2010.There are no substantial changes to the previous legislation.
If your food safety manual makes reference to NSW regulations you will need to update and amend this detail.
Other slight adjustments include :
  • local councils are the appropriate enforcement agencies for the purposes of retail/food service business notification
  • food safety supervisor trainer and assessor requirements are aligned with the national Standards for Registered Training Organisations
  • baseline for annual inspection and audit charges for licensed and non-licensed businesses to reflect the annual application of the CPI.

Aldi Supplier Standard- New version 1.3

Changes to the updated ALDI Supplier Requirements can be summarised as:
  • ALDI will be notified by the Certifying body within 48 hours of a failed audit
  • SDS’s are to be submitted for all chemical product components
  • NIP data for all processed Food & Beverage Products must be within +/- 20% tolerance of theoretical/analytical results
  • Any ALDI branded product or packaging must be disposed in accordance with legislative requirements and industry best practice
